Roebuck Studio

Bespoke design and creative solutions.

Founded out of a shared love of creative challenges and collaborative work, Roebuck Studio comprises of creatives Richard Dickinson and Neil Warburton. Based in the north west of England Richard and Neil have worked together for over 18 years on projects ranging from art installations, public artwork, architectural reproductions and sculptural editions for artists to name a few.

Through experimentation and collaboration we have gathered a wealth of collective knowledge of processes and materials.

Working with traditional methods alongside modern technology, we create objects of art and products with exacting standards of quality.

Richard Dickinson

Richard graduated with a BA in sculpture in 2001

Over the last 20 years he has worked and exhibited continually as an artisan/artist in all kinds of settings. Timber framing, cabinet making, foundry work, building renovation, landscape painting, sculpture and car restoration.

Since teaming up with long time friend Neil Warburton they have combined their occasionally overlapping and broad skills over a rich variety of projects that require specialist knowledge.

With years of experience in so many varied disciplines and an eye for detail and aesthetics Richard has moved away from fine art to focus his design and craftsmanship on bespoke product design.

Neil Warburton

Neil has over 20 years experience working in the design industry across a number of agencies. He has worked with large multinational companies along with smaller businesses and start ups.

In hand with industry work he has continued his creative exploration covering art, photography, sculpture and product design to develop a wide knowledge of practices outside of the graphic design spectrum.

During this time Neil and Richard have nurtured a strong creative collaboration leading them to set up Roebuck Studio.

It is our aim to develop a practice that nurtures our own creative explorations, while giving our clients the opportunity to harness the knowledge we have accumulated over the years to develop refined objects and products.

Design and Product concepts

From initial design concepts through to prototyping we are able to realise designs through the complete design process from virtual to a tangible object.

Fabrication

We have experience in working with a wide range of materials and processes to create our designs. Sourcing the right materials and using the right process is imperative to the quality of the final object. We have completed projects to fit with client requirements by reverse engineering existing products.

Master making, moulding and casting

From small scale reproductions to large sculptural forms, our moulding and casting experience combined with our fabrication knowledge has helped us develop production processes to accurately replicate original master objects.

We are set up to be able to offer small to medium production runs dependent on the scale of the object required.

Working with artists

As artists ourselves we have a wealth of experience producing and reproducing work. We can take original pieces and mould and cast directly from your original. We are also able to digitally photo scan artwork to then be reproduced in different scales or to make reproductions through 3D printing, moulding and casting.
